Wind on Water Communications’ TV spots for YellowBus Advertising swept the AAF Silicon Valley Chapter award show for the third consecutive year. A breakdancing shrimp and protesting pickles for Erik’s DeliCafé were among the entries that garnered six Addy Awards.

Additional recognition went to a :30 spot for the San Jose Repertory Theatre.

While the Erik’s campaign went on to win a silver in the regionals, a TV campaign for Shooter’s client, SwedishAmerican Hospital, continued Wind on Water’s winning streak halfway across the country.

Of the four spots entered in the Northern Illinois AAF competition, two won gold, two received silver, and one took home the coveted Judge’s Choice award.

George Chalekian, Creative Director, said “We’re humbled by the recognition from our peers and response from the public – especially in two very diverse regions on the mainland. But no matter where we’re running or what the assignment is, we try to create work that moves people.”

His partner, Anna Covert, concurred. “We just launched a brand new website for Hawaii Mutual Insurance Company that we’re really proud of. You might not think the insurance business would be all that interesting, but HEMIC’s commitment and energy really inspired us. We tried to capture it in a site that is technologically sophisticated without losing the warmth of Hawaii.”

Wind On Water Communications believes communication should move things. People. Products. Perception. And the bottom line. We produce integrated campaigns that makes waves for clients like Aloha United Way, American Savings Bank, Hilo Hattie, Hospice Hawaii, Oceanic Time Warner, Straub, Pali Momi, SwedishAmerican Hospital, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Hawaii Mutual Insurance Company, NetLending, and of course, Wet ’N’ Wild Hawaii.
